1.中国公民在中国境内申请结婚的必须双方亲自到一方户口所在地的婚姻登记机关申请结婚登记，申请时，应当持下列证件和证明：

1. If a Chinese citizen applies for marriage in China, both parties must apply for marriage registration in person at the marriage registration authority in the place where one party's household registration is located. When applying, the following documents and certificates shall be presented:

(1)户口证明;

(1) Household registration certificate;

(2)居民身份证;

(2) Resident ID card;

(3)所在单位、村民委员会或者居民委员会出具的婚姻状况证明。

(3) Marriage status certificate issued by the unit, villagers' committee or residents' committee.

2.中国公民同外国人在中国境内申请结婚 男女双方当事人必须共同到中国公民一方户口所在地的省、自治区、直辖市人民政府指定的婚姻登记机关申请登记。申请登记的中国公民和外国人须分别持有下列证件：

Chinese citizens and foreigners applying for marriage in China must jointly apply for registration at the marriage registration authority designated by the people's government of the province, autonomous region, or municipality directly under the Central Government where one of the Chinese citizens is registered. Chinese citizens and foreigners applying for registration shall hold the following documents respectively:

①本人户籍证明;

① My registered residence certificate;

②本人户口所在地的县级人民政府或工作所在单位的县级以上机关、学校、事业、企业单位出具的本人姓名、性别、出生年月、民族、婚姻状况(未婚、离婚、丧偶)、职业、工作性质、申请与何人结婚的证明。

② A certificate issued by the people's government at or above the county level at the place of my residence or by the government, school, institution or enterprise at or above the county level at the place where I work, stating my name, sex, date of birth, nationality, marital status (unmarried, divorced, widowed), occupation, nature of work, and who I apply to marry.

(2)外国侨民须持有：

(2) Foreign nationals must hold:

①本人护照或代替护照的身份、国籍证件(无国籍者免交);

① Personal passport or identity and nationality certificate in lieu of passport (stateless persons are exempted);

②公安机关签发的《外国人居留证》;

② Alien Residence Permit issued by the public security organ;

③本人户口所在地的县级人民政府或工作所在单位的县级以上机关、学校、事业、企业单位出具的本人姓名、性别、出生年月、民族、婚姻状况(未婚、离婚、丧偶)、职业、工作性质、申请与何人结婚的证明。

③ A certificate issued by the people's government at or above the county level at the place of my residence or by the government, school, institution or enterprise at or above the county level at the place where I work, stating my name, sex, date of birth, nationality, marital status (unmarried, divorced, widowed), occupation, nature of work, and who I apply to marry.

(3)外国人须持有：

(3) Foreigners must hold:

①本人护照或其他身份、国籍证件;

① My passport or other identity and nationality documents;

②公安机关签发的《外国人居留证》，或外事部门颁发的身份证件，或临时来华的入境、居留证件;

② The Alien Residence Permit issued by the public security organ, or the identity certificate issued by the foreign affairs department, or the entry and residence certificate for temporary visit to China;

③经本国外交部(或外交部授权机关)和我国驻该国使、领馆认证的由本国公证机关出具的婚姻状况证明，或该国驻华使、领馆出具的婚姻状况的证明。

③ The certificate of marital status issued by the notary office of the country, or the certificate of marital status issued by the embassy or consulate of the country in China, certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or the authorized organ of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country.
