explain的相关用法：

explain可以用作及物动词,也可用作不及物动词.及物动词的用法为 explain to ** sth 或 explain sth to **. 即 它不能直接跟双宾语,在表人的间接宾语前,总有一个介词 to.

explain的相关词组：explain away 为 ...辩解,通... explain oneself v.说明自己的意图,... explain yourself vt.说明自己的意思... self-explaining adj.意义自明的,... explain to 向 ...说明

explain,introduce和borrow一样,只能用介词引出“间接宾语”: explain sth.to **.introduce A to B,borrow sth.from **. 如果这个sth.较长(比如带个定语或本身就是一个名词性从句),为了句子的平衡,可将其后置成为:explain to **.sth.

explain的用法

explain在英语中只有动词的用法，它既可以作为及物动词来使用，也可以作为不及物动词来使用，意思为讲解，解释，说明等，指把对方不知道，不明白，不理解的事以易懂的方式加以说明。

explain在动词中的用法后面一般跟explainsthto**或后接反身代词作宾语。

1、表示“解释”，通常不接双宾语，若语义上需要这类结构，可以改成explain结构使用。例如：Pleaseexplainthisruleto

us.请把这条规则给我解释一下。若其中的sth较长或较复杂(比如是不定式或从句)，也可以用explainto**sth。例如：Heexplained
