生活英文──要怎么说东西「非常贵」呢？

在日常生活中，我们常常会比价、说哪些东西很贵、哪些东西很便宜，像是高级车、昂贵的手机、豪华的假期等等。这次，由Niharika老师来教大家8个不同的词语来表示某样东西「非常昂贵」。

1. That’s a bit steep.

表示这个东西有一点点贵。

例句： “This dress is a bit steep.” 「这件洋装有点小贵。」

2. That’s a bit pricey.

和前一个的用法一样，表示东西有点贵。

例句： “This house is a bit pricey for this neighborhood.” 「以这个社区来说，这栋房子有点贵。」

3. Cost an arm and leg

表示这个东西非常昂贵。

例句： “My new Mercedes car has cost me an arm and leg.” 「我的宾士花了我很多钱。」

4. To pay through the nose

表示在某物上花了很多钱。

例句： “These days one has to pay through nose to eat out in a fancy restaurant.” 「最近要在不错的餐厅里吃饭都得花上不少钱。」

5. Exorbitant

表示价格不合理地高。

例句： “Some hotels charge exorbitant rates for phone calls.” 「有些旅馆的**费都开得不合理地高。」

6. Daylight robbery

指某物的价钱远超过它实际的价值。

例句： “$10 for a glass of juice is daylight robbery.” 「一杯果汁要10美金也太贵了吧！」

7. Break the bank

表示你已经花光你存在**帐户里的钱了。

例句： “I would love to go to Switzerland but a trip right now would definitely break the bank.” 「我很想要去瑞士，但现在去的话就会花光我所有的积蓄。」

8. Pay top dollar

指为了某个东西花了很多钱。

例句： “I had to pay top dollar for this Louis Vuitton bag.” 「我为了这个LV包包花了超多钱。」
