My First Day at English Summer Camp
Today was my first day at an English summer camp. I felt both excited and nervous as I walked into the classroom, not knowing what to expect.

The first activity was an icebreaker game where we had to introduce ourselves and share our hobbies. I was surprised to find that many of the other students were from different countries, such as Japan, Korea and Spain. It was interesting to learn about their cultures and traditions.
After the icebreaker, we had a grammar lesson. The teacher explained the difference between present simple and present continuous tense. I found it a bit confusing at first, but with some practice, I began to understand it better.
Next, we had a speaking practice session. We were given a topic and had to discuss it with a partner. My partner was a girl from Korea, and we talked about our favorite movies. It was a great opportunity to practice my speaking skills and learn some new vocabulary.
During lunchtime, I sat with some new friends that I had made in the morning. We chatted about our favorite foods and shared some snacks. I was amazed at how friendly and welcoming everyone was.
In the afternoon, we had a writing class. We were given a prompt and had to write a short essay. The topic was about our dream job. I wrote about my ambition to become a doctor and help people in need. The teacher gave me some feedback on my writing, and I made some corrections to improve it.
The last activity of the day was a group project. We had to work together to create a poster about a famous landmark in our country. My group chose the Great Wall of China. We researched some facts and drew a colorful poster. It was a fun and creative way to practice our language skills.
Overall, I had a great first day at the English summer camp. I learned a lot of new things and made some new friends. I am looking forward to the rest of the week and improving my English even more.
