punctuate “强化、强调”的意思怎么来的？

你理解得不错，这个词有强化强调的意思。我不是研究词汇学的，不过我觉得可以理解，因为给一句话加标点（使其更突出）有“打断，强调”的意思，英语中有这种用法，类似的有underline“给……加下划线”不就是强调的意思吗
