litigation 在法庭上,互相两方争论, **的原因, 告方及防方各言其观点.

lawsuit 打官司, 是**时, 所讲述这诉讼, 告他人的理由. 是单方面, 例如倥方告的书告.

lawsuit:诉讼，强调过程。现在通常认为包含了一方反对另一方的任何过程。

action:行为，活动，在作为法律词汇时与LAWSUIT很接近。

但是，法律人员一般称普通**的诉讼过程叫ACTIONS.称衡平**的诉讼过程叫SUITS或者LAWSUITS。

在更早的时候，还有更多的区别，比如：ACTION不包括执行程序，LAWSUITS/SUITS包括执行程序。ACTION包括赔偿、反诉等等。但是，现在好像不怎么区分了。

lawsuit则更加强调诉讼这一动作这件事。例如：he filed a ~~ against his record company.
