“conform”后面是加“to”还是“with”？

两种都是常用短语搭配。

1. conform to sth

You must conform to the rules, or leave school.你必须遵守校规,不然就退学。

2. conform **/sth to sth

You must conform yourself to the custom of the land.你必须遵从这个国家的习俗。

3. conform with (v.+prep.) (使)符合…; (与)…一致

The design conforms with the regulations.这项设计符合规定。

4. conform sth with sth

Why should I conform my idea with yours?为什么我的想法要和你的想法一致?

conform to和conform with的区别：

1、conform to 的主语和to后面的介词宾语通常都是同一个范畴的，因为form是形式的意思，conform强调形式上保持一致。

2、comply with 强调一种依赖性，无条件的服从，遵守

举例： 

It does not conform with my idea.

这与我的意见不相符。

2. This sketch does not conform with specifications.

这张草图与说明书不符。

3. Most people willingly conform to the customs of society.

大多数人自愿遵守社会习俗。

1、submit to 意思是  顺从，服从； 甘受，忍受

submit 意思是  使服从，使顺从； 提交，呈送； 主张，建议

submitted to 是被动语态

例子：

Mrs. jones submitted to an operation on her right knee to relieve the pain.

琼斯夫人同意在其右膝上做手术以减轻疼痛。

2、conform（与to, with连用）符合；顺应；相配

A coat must conform to the figure of the wearer.
