所谓“翻译腔”，就是指译文有洋泾浜（洋化）现象，或者译文不符合目的语的表达习惯和表达方式，一般表现为译文不自然、不流畅、不生动、不易读等。

那么，“翻译腔”是如何一步步把原著“毁掉”呢？

（1）译文不符合目的语的语言规范和惯用搭配。

（2）译文不符合目的语语境，对于一些句式、词义以及用语习惯等生搬硬套。

（3）译文不符合目的语的文化意识、民族心理以及读者可接受度，对于外国文化生搬硬套，不求甚解。

（4）译文不符合社会功能及效果，一味沿用源语风格，出现过度异化现象。

下面，我们从有名的译著中挑选几个，举例说明。

例一：

《洛丽塔》中有一句话，可以作为赏析。

版本2：“这就是你和我可以共享的唯一不朽的事物”

这2个版本比起来，各有千秋。汉译英，要注意范畴词像十九大报告中经常出现的“ 问题、状态、情况”等，翻译出比较啰嗦。但是，由英译汉时，也要注意范畴词的运用。因为英文可能表达的是一个非常抽象的词，翻译成汉语，要具体化。

首先，immortality是个名词，有“不朽；不灭；永恒”的意思。因此，版本2中译为“不朽的事物”就相对恰当，符合汉语表达习惯。

例二：

《了不起的盖茨比》 中有一句话，可以用来赏析。

Reserving judgment is a matter of infinite hope.

版本1：不对他人妄加评论，这是一种理想境界。

版本2：保留判断是表示怀有无限的希望。

虽然两个版本在意思上并无错译，但是读起来大相径庭。原因是，第1个版本采取意译手法，中间有一个断句。把一句话分成两个半句来翻译，比较符合汉语习惯。相比而言，第2个版本则是采取直译手法，虽然一字一句地忠实于原文，但是，让人读起来感觉别扭，也不好理解。

总之，译著里面大都会出现翻译腔的问题。所以，译者在翻译过程中，要注意充分考虑目的语语境和表达习惯，文化心理，读者接受度等因素。俗话说，只有经典的原著，没有不朽的译著，译者且译且珍惜。
