是波尔模型提出的，是基于经典力学得出的电子犹如行星绕太阳转一般的固定"线"轨道，
而orbital
是量子论的结果，基于电子的波粒二象性，不能得到电子出现的具**置，也不会出现固定的轨迹，故只能说是一个区域，描述电子也只能说该电子在此区域中某点出现的概率，而不会出现在别的区域。此时该区域即orbital。中文翻译也为轨道，但此时已经是区域。。。
