一、词义侧重不同


1、overlook : 忽略、未注意到；(对不良现象等)不予理会，视而不见；强调指因匆忙而疏忽或视而不见。

2、ignore : 通常指有意不顾，或不理显而易见的事物。强调故意不理，知道该做，也没有认为没必要，但故意不做。


3、neglect : 侧重指有意地忽略或忽视，也可指粗心与疏忽。强调不经意的忽视，知道该做，但由于疏忽，导致没有做。

4、disregard : 多指有意或自觉地不顾某事。

5、omit : 指有意或无意地忘记做某事，也指删去被视作不重要、不合意。强调省略，知道该做，但是认为没必要做，而不做。

二、用法不同

1、overlook 指有意识地遗漏，也可以指无意识地忽略，可用于指对不良现象的视而不见，及物动词，后接表示忽略对象的名词作宾语，如：

2、ignore v.忽视，不理睬，指有意识地拒绝。
