Spell Check is a necessary step in modern information processing. As one of existing tools, it has developed significantly from original basic function of text processing. Spell-check is mainly used in English text processing for legitimacy use of language. The functions include marking any error encountered and reminding of writer; checking format and grammar, mainly for the standard English grammar in common and simple text format; processing and indicating the error; providing choices for the users to make selection for replacement to minimize unnecessary works.

In this paper, a brief discussion on the technology theory in spell-check procession, its development tendency and practicable algorithm has been presented. Algorithms method adopted in spell-checking, fuzzy matching voice (Metephone) algorithms and string similarity (Levenshtein Distance) algorithm and comparison ****ysis has been discussed in details with specifying the scope of application. The advantages of two algorithms methods have been ****yzed. Aspell algorithm thinking is applied in the procedure as that, in case of no recommendation, searching for words in all dictionary words misspelled in the same voice code and adding these words founded, and using the words in minimum edit distance to the word misspelled. Then, through the regular expression the English format and a simple grammar are checked.
