聊一聊外推谬误
首先告诉大家外推谬误简直无处不在，我们的生活中，都在犯着这个错误。
那什么是外推谬误呢 我们举两个例子，
一是食品便宜，肥胖的人越来越多，那是不是将来所有人就都是胖子了呢？我猜不会的。
二是几年前我们还以为电子书时代到来了，纸质书和传统书店都将会被打败，甚至不复存在。然而近几年的趋势是纸质书的销量不但稳定了，反而正在上升。电子书并没有取得压倒纸质书的趋势，2018年，电子书的销量已经开始下降了。
这个错误的根本问题还不在于相信指数增长，而是相信一个当前的趋势会一直持续下去 —— 而殊不知趋势是会变化的。 以前有个科幻小说评论家，叫加里·韦斯特法勒（Gary Westfahl），把这个错误的思维方式命名为“外推谬误（Fallacy of Extrapolation）”
预测未来是非常困难的事情。也许我们好不容易才能看到一两个趋势，可是那个趋势常常是不可持续的。
你认为这个趋势一直持续下去，接下来会发生一个特别不好或者特别好的后果。通常的情况是，你想多了。
所以光知道一个趋势不行，你还得分析它是不是可持续的，它可能会有一个什么样的变化。
