在英语中为什么用leap year来表达闰年

因为非闰年的年份每年是365天，合52周+1天，所以每相邻两个非闰年中，同样的日期所对应的星期数（星期一到日）会往后一天。不难发现，闰年时因为一年是52周+2天，会有一个星期数被跳掉，而英文中leap有“跳跃”的意思，所以闰年被形象地称作leap year
