revenue这里指收益，当然多数情况下是指年收入。所以第一句前半句您的翻译是对的，即“通过电脑给黑白电影着彩色，被一些拥有电影产权的人所拥护”，但后面半句宜改成“因为此过程对他们而言意味着收益的增加”。这个收益应该是针对拥有电影所有权的那些人来说的，所以他们会拥护。
后面一句您翻的是对的。不过degrade这里不妨翻成“这种技术无异于侮辱了这些重要的艺术作品”，major是主要的，重大的意思，不是大量的意思。
