Staff appraisal system is a very typical information management system, which includes two aspects, front-end applications and back-end database. Front-end applications can be completely easy for users to use. The consistency, integrity and security of the background database can evaluate employee's attitude, personality, ability status and work performance.

To this end, I have conducted a survey of the human resources department the enterprise, and according to their needs, decided to use Visual Basic 6.0 and Access for the development of the front-end application and database of the employee appraisal system.
