coherent就是相干波

two monochromatic sources of the same frequency and with any definite,constant phase relationship(not necessarily in phase)are said to be coherent意思是“频率相同,振动方向相同,相位差恒定的两列简谐波叫相干波”.

相干波在传播过程中,在空间相遇.在重叠处两列简谐波所引起的质点的简谐运动具有相同的频率,相同的振动方向.由于各点的相位不同,振幅也不尽相同.

Coherent描述的是事物之间有逻辑上的一致性，所以也可以理解为“逻辑上前后一致”。除了逻辑的连接之外，物理、地理上的连接性，甚至精神上的团结也可以用coherent来表达。它来自动词cohere的形容词变形。co-的前缀代表together, 它的词根来自拉丁语 haerere （粘结）。
