英语趣事:我的“麻烦”学姐
我有一位学姐,她在我心中一直是个神奇的人物。她的英语口语非常流利,而且她总是能够在不经意间用上一些有趣的词汇和表达方式。她的英语水平不仅仅是让我佩服,更是让我感到好奇。
有一次,我们一起去参加了一场英语演讲比赛。比赛结束后,我和学姐一起坐在咖啡厅里聊天。她突然说:“You know what, I'm a troublemaker.”(你知道吗,我是个麻烦制造者。)

My "Troublemaker" Sister: An English Anecdote
I have a sister who has always been a fascinating figure to me. Her English speaking ability is impeccable, and she always manages to use interesting vocabulary and expressions in a seemingly effortless manner. Her English proficiency not only impresses me, but also piques my curiosity.
One time, we attended an English speech competition together. After the event, we sat down in a coffee shop and chatted. Suddenly, she said, "You know what, I'm a troublemaker." I was surprised, because I didn't think she was a troublemaker. She noticed my expression and explained, "In this context, 'troublemaker' means 'a person who is troublesome,' not someone who creates trouble."
After hearing her explanation, I realized that there are many English words with nuanced meanings, and sometimes, context is key to understanding them. Her example was a good demonstration of this.
Another time, we went to an English corner event. We talked about many topics, including "interesting English vocabulary." My sister shared a word she recently learned - "flummox." She said, "This word means 'to confuse,' but it sounds like a **all bird that can fly." We all laughed because her ****ogy was so vivid.
