decayed与decaying的区别

二者去掉ED和ING原本都是动词，加了ED和ING以后则为不同时态的动词，但同时二者本身也都具有作为形容词的意思。要说区别，意思上并没有什么太大的区别，要说有也只能说decaying有时可以是形容正在进行当中的，而decayed则是形容已完成的。主要区别还是在用法上。凡是加了ED的动词一般都是用来形容人物，而加了ING的动词则一般用来形容物品或感觉的。例如boring 和 bored：i am bored; the movie is so boring.两个都是无聊但一个形容我，一个形容电影。这里的decaying,decayed也是一样，举例说：Can a substance from a fungus that grows on decaying trees proide a cure for aggressie prostate cancer?(decaying tree形容树）；a decayed body形容尸体。

其实具体情况还要具体分析，不能一概而论，但区别肯定是有的。
